At Almond Productions we are committed to the importance of education. We can offer workshops and short courses not only to the corporate and business sector, but also to schools colleges and community groups.

Jet Project (Jobs for ESOL and Training) Newcastle

Delivery of an introductory video course to a group of refugees. The aim of this course was to not only gave the participants basic skills in video production, but also to develop other skills such as team work, confidence building and communication skills. Three separate DVD’s were produced illustrating aspects of their lives as refugees living in Newcastle. As a result of this successful course, the Jet project are hoping to take the training further and offer a nationally recognized accredited course in video production.

Centre 48 Newcastle

Over a number of weeks Almond Productions worked closely with a group of people based in the Battlefields area of Newcastle, The training and support resulted in the production of a short drama “The Stowaway”. This was a very successful short film that involved the group in scriptwriting, camera skills, costume, set design, and editing.

Bloemfontein Primary School County Durham

In conjunction with Isis Arts and the Forge (local arts agencies), we delivered two sets of workshops to primary school children, mixing live action with animation. This resulted in two finished videos that the school was able to use to demonstrate their commitment to creativity in learning. The finished piece ”Fimo’s Day at School” was entered into the schools Royal Television Society Awards where it gained further recognition for the school.
